New Joint Ventures Announced

Chipewyan Prairie Dene First Nation

Calgary Alberta, November 12, 2013:  Chief Vern Janvier and Councilor’s Stuart Janvier, Jules Nohokoo and Sherry Black are pleased to announce the new joint venture agreements that have been signed today at the Deerfoot Inn and Casino. In a signing event at 10:00 am today the Chief signed  four new joint ventures and renewed two existing JV’ agreements:


New Joint Ventures 

Alta-fab Structures Ltd. President Mark Taillefer signed the agreement with the Chief. Alta-fab is a mobile camp, lodging and specialty structures manufacture out of  Nisku Alberta

Canadian Mat Systems Inc. with Global Innovation, Global Reach, Local Solutions. President Shawn Beamish was on hand to sign their agreement with the Nation.  CMSI manufactures, sells, rents and provides a conventional and innovative range of access and rig matting services across Western Canada from its strategically located regional distribution centers.

Phoenix Oilfield Rentals Ltd. President Gerard Hermary was pleased to be on board with the signing of the Phoenix agreement with the Nation. Phenoix rents generator sets, light towers, tanks and a variety of other oilfield items. Phoenix has offices in Red Deer, Grande Prairie Alberta and Ft Nelson B.C.

Under the umbrella of Discovery Air Group Of Companies both Air Tindi and Great Slave Helicopters Ltd. signed an agreement with the Nation. The parties to the agreement are excited about the possibilities of serving the industry partners along the 881 Corridor with both fixed wing aircraft and helicopter services. Trevor Wever, President of Air Tindi and VP of Great Slave Helicopters Todd Johnson were on hand to take part in the signing.

Existing Joint Ventures

Arnett & Burgess Oilfield Construction Limited has signed a renewed agreement with the Nation, Vice President Carey Arnett was present to sign the agreement. A&B has been working with the Nation for three years already and are looking forward to the next three years of expanding their pipeline construction and integrity work.

Industrial Paramedic Services has also signed a renewed agreement with the Nation.  President Brett Hryniuk looks forward to continuing to expand on the current industry partners he provides medical services to. IPS has been a partner with the Nation for over five years.
